BESCHREIBUNG

Prachtvolle sächsische Schokoladenkanne.

Gerader, runder Korpus mit schauseitig graviertem Wappen des Kurfürstentums Sachsen, umlaufende Zierornamentik und Monogramm G.F.W. sowie Jahreszahl 1606.

Nach oben hin abgerundete, eingezogene Schulter mit schmalem Ausguss, klappbarer scharniergelagerter Deckel mit knapper Daumenrast und kleiner getreppter Deckelknauf.

Der Wappenschauseite gegenüber ähnlich der Daumenrast gearbeitete Montierung mit Hülse und gedrechseltem Griff.

ABMESSUNGEN

Höhe: 21,5 cm; Durchmesser Stand: 12 cm; Gewicht: 1007 Gramm.

ZUSTAND

In einer altersgemäß guten Erhaltung. Der Ausguss alt gelötet.

Magnificent pewter chocolate pot.

Saxony, dated 1606.

DESCRIPTION

Splendid Saxon chocolate pot.

Straight, round body with the coat of arms of the Electorate of Saxony engraved on the front, surrounding decorative ornamentation and monogram G.F.W. as well as the date 1606.

Rounded, indented shoulder to the top with a narrow spout, hinged lid with a narrow thumb rest and small stepped lid knob.

The mount opposite the coat of arms display side is similar to the thumb rest, with a sleeve and turned handle.

DIMENSIONS

Height: 21.5 cm; diameter of stand: 12 cm; weight: 1007 grams.

CONDITION

In good condition for its age. The spout old soldered.
