• A unique piece of postal history.. A Phoenixville Pennsylvania 1864 Civil War Cover Addressed to a Capt. W.A.J. Maddox of Philadelphia, Capt. Maddox According to Google army records show he is associated with the civil war defenses of Washington DC, ie: Battery Kemble. But you will have to do the research on it.. 
• There are penciled notations on the front of this powder blue cover. The Scott #65, 1861 issued stamp is tied to the cover with a target cancel.. Measures 2.75x5"..
