This lovely textile was once used as a duvet cover . Today it's ideal used for many upholstery projects! It dates from around the 1930's and is all cotton, very heavy weight with a gentle twill weave. ~ This textile is all hand woven! It was made by seaming together the widths of the hand woven cotton to create a large piece ( it was once folded and it has now been opened out ) ~ it's ideal for upholstery, pillows and many many other creative projects! ~
MEASUREMENTS : This lovely textile measures approximately 68 inches by about 63 inches
CONDITION: This piece is in as found, not freshly laundered condition ~ this textile must be dry cleaned rather than water washed. I am worried that the red ground could discolor the white to pink!~ So dry clean only for this textile. There is a one inch hole in this piece ( please use the zoom feature to view ) ~ otherwise only light signs of time and use , often inherent in these wonderful antique textiles! ~
