The replacement is simple, without draining the oil!
In order:
*put the neutral gear on, remove the engine protection
*remove the plastic housing of the gear selection mechanism
*using a flat screwdriver, remove the gear selector drive, unscrew the control screw with a "star"
* Remove the mechanism from the stem, and get free access to the oil seal.
