This piece was made by MA Hadley Pottery. The jar is for holding matchsticks. It has a lid, and it has a match striker on the front (see photos). There is a hole at the top so that if you wanted to you could hang this on the wall. Both the lid and the base are signed (see photos). THIS PIECE IS HEAVY WEIGHING ALMOST 4 LBS.

This piece measures about 5-1/4 inches tall and about 5-1/4 inches wide.

There are no chips or cracks however, there are some dark flea bites on the lids handle (see photos). There is some glaze separation along the rim and inside by the rim from production (see photos). The lid DOES NOT fit snuggly on top and is a bit wobbly and moves around. The lid handle is more of a green color than blue (see photos).
