When you send your unit to me, you can rest assured that both channels will be properly upgraded using matched, high-quality components. Service includes the replacement of all outdated and degraded coupling capacitors, resistors, diodes, light bulbs at no additional cost.

I focus entirely on internal repairs and cleaning, addressing faulty components and ensuring full functionality of the unit. My goal is to restore your amplifier to full working condition while making minimal changes to preserve its original design.

What’s Included:
Thorough testing and troubleshooting

Repair of all identified issues

Internal cleaning of boards, switches, and controls

Replacement of all faulty electronic components: Coupling capacitors, resistors, diodes, light bulbs, cleaning and lubrication for switches and controls.

Replacement of front dial glass light bulbs (if necessary)

Removal of internal oxidation and corrosion (clean as possible)

Inspection and rebuilding of solder joints if needed

Calibration and adjustments ( Bias, setpoints, Radio IF and RF amplifier)

Only audio-grade components are used in repairs

All tubes are tested with Eico 667 tube tester

Post-repair testing for 48 hours

No hidden fees or extra charges. In the case of replacing tubes, can capacitors or transformers, the costs will be communicated previously for owner's approval.

Common Problems I Fix:
No power up

Smoke coming from the unit

No sound

Distorted sound

Missing sound from left or right channels

Unstable or low sound on one or both channels

Non-functioning features (FM/ AM radio, Stereo decoder)

Non-working illumination or lights

Missing components (less than 20%)

• WHAT I DON'T REPAIR:

▪ Bad tubes - Replacement cost and options will be informed in advance

▪ Burnt-out, short-circuited or open-winding transformers - subject to availability of parts - Costs will be informed in advance.

▪ Dented or mechanically damaged chassis

▪ Display/Dial  glass - If parts are available on the market or an equivalent solution is available - (Costs will be informed in advance).

** Owner will may order the parts and send it to me, no problem. I will help with dealers point links or web sites.

After Repair:
Once the repair is completed, you will receive a fully functional unit along with a detailed receipt that explains all the components replaced. The price includes parts, labor, and tax.

Important Note:
If any upgrades or changes to the design or functionality are necessary, I will notify you by email for your approval before proceeding.

All communication is made by e-mail and I will send pictures about the work by phone, so you can follow.

Parts and Components I Use:
Electrolytic Capacitors: Elna, Panasonic, Nichicon, Rubycon, Siemens or same quality

Non-Electrolytic Tube Components: Sangamo, Benton, EIZZ or better

Non-Electrolytic Solid-State Components: Saha, Vishay, IR

Transistors and ICs: Philips, Pioneer, Sanken, DEC, SMK, Mitsubishi ( when applied)

Each repair is unique, and we will determine the best parts for your unit. My goal is to maintain the original schematic design as much as possible. Critical components for sound will be replaced with original or better matched parts.

Repair Timeframe:
Typical repair time is 7-21 days, depending on the availability of parts. Most parts are in stock, but if we need rare or specific items, such as unique switches, trim resistors, or tube holders, the timeframe may be longer. I will keep you informed throughout the process.

Units I Do Not Accept for Repair:

Units with major flood/Corrosion or water damage

Units with significant fire or chemical damage

Units missing more than 30% of internal components

Units that have undergone substandard upgrades or projects and burned out transformers

Units with severe mechanical damage or broken parts

Units with unapproved modifications or schematic changes
