Rare antique brown transferware covered dish.  I could find no other example of this dish in this pattern. I believe it is English and was distributed by J McD & S in Boston, Massachusetts. There are a couple of glaze chips on the rim that are difficult to see.  Other than that I could find no other chips, cracks or repairs.  The bottom part does have brown staining.  I know there is a way to remove it, but I will leave that up to the buyer rather than chance ruining it.   It is approx 12" (including handles) x 7.5".  The bowl is approx 2.5" deep.  With the lid and handle, it is approx 7.5" tall.
