Thomas Roy Markusen is an American postwar and contemporary artist who was born in 1940. He is known for his hand wrought metalware. During the past three decades, he has established himself using copper brass bronze and silver in a variety of forms and concepts. I'd say his style is Modern Brutalist.
He created these candleholders with seamless copper tubing. The finish on this set is a pewter oxide and has an iridescent blue gold and silver appearance.
Each candleholder has a maker's mark on the bottom, and the item number, M421 D, and are marked copper (see photos).
These candle holders are in three different sizes, 13 inches, 16 inches, and 19 inches tall. They would have come with a pear-shaped candle that sat on the dish on top.
There is 1 plastic foot on the bottom of tallest candle holder missing (see photos).
I will ship these items within 1 day of a received payment. If purchased on the weekend, they will ship out on Monday.
