This decal set reproduces the characteristic laminated plywood appearance of the Albatros D.V and D.Va fuselage - one of the most difficult WWI finishes to recreate convincingly by hand.
Developed in cooperation with aviation artist and Albatros researcher Dave Douglass, these decals provide a realistic and balanced woodgrain effect while significantly reducing the time and effort required to finish the model.

Traditional wood finishing methods often require multiple layers of paint, masking and oil-based weathering techniques. These decals provide a more consistent and predictable result while preserving the natural variation of laminated plywood surfaces.
The transparent carrier film allows the underlying base color to influence the final appearance, helping create a realistic and natural-looking wood finish.
