NEW SPANNER NUT - TO RETAIN SPECIAL BEARINGS IN THE QUILL OF A VINTAGE DELTA DP-220 DRILL PRESS.

This is a fine threaded circular retainer that screws into each end of a drill press quill to retain the bearings.

The Delta part number for this item is DP-242.  Two are required, one at each end of the drill press quill

This is the same part that Delta used to retain the top idler shaft bearings in a vintage 6 x 48 belt sander.

Our spanner nuts are CNC machined from C1018 steel and are black oxide plated for increased corrosion protection.

These may fit other Delta machines or even other manufacturer’s equipment.  Check to see if the spanner nut you need is approximately 1.3975” in diameter and is intended to retain a 35mm bearing.
