Best worn with a low neckline or strapless evening dress or an 18th century inspired dress.  Holds in place with three (3) clutch pins.  Accompanied by an small ancillary brooch which can be placed under the midpoint of the larger brooch or anywhere desired.  Small brooch is also held in place with a clutch pin.
