DVD FEATURES:
 Description:
Call the Midwife is a British period drama television series about a group of nurse midwives working in the East End of London in the late 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.

The plot follows newly qualified midwife Jenny Lee, as well as the work of midwives and the nuns of Nonnatus House, a nursing convent and part of an Anglican religious order, coping with the medical problems in the deprived Poplar district of London's desperately poor East End in the 1950s. The Sisters and midwives carry out many nursing duties across the community. However, with between 80 and 100 babies being born each month in Poplar alone, the primary work is to help bring safe childbirth to women in the area and to look after their countless newborns.

The multi-award-winning drama about the nuns and nurses of Poplar, East London, returns.

1971 sees the dawn of a new era - it heralds the launch of the Women’s Liberation movement in the UK. More babies are being born in hospital, and a complete reorganisation of the National Health Service is on its way. As the year unfolds, the Nonnatus House team handle cases including a premature birth, slavery, carbon monoxide poisoning, male breast cancer, child cruelty and lupus.

Hello :-)

IMPORTANT DVD INFORMATION FOR MY US & CANADIAN CUSTOMERS:

As per the auction these are Europe Region 2+4 DVDs (US/Canada are Region 1) and you need a multi-regional (multi-zone) DVD player to play them!

BUT don't panic just yet :-)

Many DVD players are easy to unlock.
Let me know the brand and model number of your DVD player so I see if there is a simple unlock code for your player.

Many of my US/Canadian customers chose to play or copy these DVDs on a PC before playing them.

I also see there are many economical Multi Region DVD players on EBay ($35-50).
Just do a search if you wish.

It seems a shame to let go of this great DVD set.

Cheers :-)
