For your consideration:
Item: Antique~Porcelain Salesman Sample~Medical Chamber Pot~Hospital Bed Pan~Infirmary
Vintage: Yes (Antique, late 1800's)
Measurements: Approx. 3.5" long x 2" tall with handle
Condition: Excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks or defects to note.
Extra Notes: Based upon research, this is either an antique salesman's sample of a chamber pot bed pan for turn of the century infirmaries and hospice. Often marketed to hospitals of the era, but also to the general public for home care situations. This is the most likely possibility. The other possible use for this item is as a small feeder for infants in assistant feeding situations. I don't find this to be likely as the shape does not quite match that use. Either way, this is a very neat antique medical device that would be a perfect addition to any antique and vintage medical tool collection. Has "trademark" and crown on back, indicating this might be from England.
