This model replica is painstakingly hand carved and then hand painted out of solid kiln dried mahogany wood(from renewable sources) by our highly experienced and talented craftsmen at our Filipino owned factory near the original Clark Air Base in Pampanga and takes about 9-10 weeks to manufacture. Production in our factory is supervised by our own resident British Pilot who ensures that exact blueprints are used for these meticulously detailed scale models custom manufactured and precisely engineered to your exact specifications and that will be cherished by all.

The model will be exactly as you see in the above and below images in terms of detailing (doors, windows, lights, control surface markings, antennas etc.) color and size so we would kindly ask you to study the images very carefully (if you require higher resolution images please ask) to make sure that the model as you see is the 100% the same version you require or expect. If there are changes that you require or mistakes or deference's in relation to the real aircraft before ordering, please message us and we will setup an alternative listing to match your own requirements. We request your understanding on this matter due to the fact that these handmade models are traveling in many cases halfway around the world and any misunderstandings or mistaken expectations must be addressed at this as point of time as we cannot be held responsible for the costs involved in returning and replacing the model. The model will be shipped with the stand you see in the images although you may request if you like to change to either 1, 6 or 7 as in the attached image examples (just message us if a change is required).

It is our aim to continue to be a "sustainable" manufacturer avoiding the use of man-made materials wherever possible such as plastics, resins or metal in an attempt to reduce our Carbon Footprint and to protect our environment for generations to come. Our models are "works of art" and not to be confused with mass made plastic kits or diecast (die cast) look-alikes. We are proud Filipino's exporting to all parts of the globe and creating employment opportunities in an impoverished part of our country.

100% handmade models naturally come at a higher price than off the shelf, plastic or diecast (die cast) models but it may interest you to know that an average regular size fixed wing or helicopter model takes on average a total of 26 dedicated Man Hours of work to produce. During this time the model transitions through over 40 different manufacturing stages and processes. The 26 hours are not consecutive and require in-between many days (and in some cases weeks) of drying and curing time as they pass from one department to another making the overall production time from an outsiders point of view appear rather lengthy. Given these facts the time period we quote for production alone is very standard for our type of industry and among our close competitors. If you are interested in what goes into making these models, there follows a summary process schedule and video. The Embraer ERJ-145XR: A Pinnacle of Regional Jet Performance

Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer has built a strong reputation for producing efficient, comfortable, and versatile regional aircraft. Among its most recognized models is the ERJ-145 family, which has connected countless smaller markets to major hubs for over two decades. Within this family, the ERJ-145XR (Extra Range) stands out as a specialized variant tailored for longer, high-demand routes—offering extended range and enhanced performance compared to its siblings. Below is an in-depth look at this agile and dependable regional aircraft.

1. Origins and Development

The ERJ-145 program first took flight in the mid-1990s, addressing the growing need for a 50-seat regional jet capable of operating efficiently on short- to medium-haul routes. Airlines sought to replace older turboprops or larger, less economical jets on thinner routes where passenger volumes did not justify larger narrow-body aircraft. Embraer, leveraging its extensive background in regional aircraft design, introduced the ERJ-145 as a sleek and modern solution.

  • First flight: August 11, 1995
  • Certification and entry into service: Late 1996

As the ERJ-145 series gained popularity among operators, Embraer continued refining the design. The introduction of the ERJ-145XR met the need for longer-range capabilities. The XR variant retains the core strengths of the original ERJ-145 while incorporating additional fuel capacity, aerodynamic improvements, and performance enhancements.

2. Cabin Comfort and Configuration

The ERJ-145XR typically seats 50 passengers in a single-class arrangement, though some operators may configure the aircraft with fewer seats for additional passenger comfort or business-class sections. The cabin layout generally features a 1-2 seating arrangement, offering every passenger either a window or aisle seat—a popular perk for regional travelers.

  • Overhead Storage: While compact, overhead bins provide enough space for carry-on luggage, reducing reliance on gate-check for most standard-sized bags.
  • Interior Design: Modern ERJ-145XR cabins often include LED lighting, comfortable slimline seats, and improved climate control systems to enhance the travel experience.
  • Noise Levels: Despite its relatively small size, sound insulation keeps noise in the cabin at comfortable levels, allowing passengers to work or rest with minimal disturbance.

4. Operational Advantages

a) Range and Versatility

One of the primary reasons airlines choose the ERJ-145XR is its extended range. The increased fuel capacity and aerodynamic tweaks allow airlines to operate longer, point-to-point flights that other regional aircraft might not easily handle—especially from secondary airports or mid-sized cities that are not well-served by larger jets.

b) Cost-Effectiveness

Regional routes are notoriously challenging in terms of profitability. Aircraft that are too large or inefficient can lose money on thin routes. The ERJ-145XR’s combination of fuel efficiencyoptimized cabin size, and relatively low operational costs makes it a strong choice for airlines eager to maintain or expand route networks without breaking budgets.

c) Airport Accessibility

With a maximum wingspan of about 66 feet (20 meters) and strong thrust from its Rolls-Royce engines, the ERJ-145XR can operate from many smaller airports that may not be accessible to larger jets. This opens up new route possibilities, particularly in regions with limited infrastructure.

5. The Future of the ERJ-145XR

Although the newer Embraer E-Jets (E170, E175, E190, E195) and the E2 series have taken the spotlight for many regional airlines, the ERJ-145XR continues to hold a niche. Airlines that require a 50-seat aircraft for thinner, longer-range routes still find great value in the XR variant, especially where new-generation jets are too large or costly to operate effectively. Meanwhile, as the air travel market adapts to evolving passenger demands, the ERJ-145XR remains a pragmatic choice for routes where efficiency, reliability, and direct connectivity are paramount.

Conclusion:

The Embraer ERJ-145XR is a prime example of how aerospace engineering can unlock new route possibilities for regional carriers. Building on the successful ERJ-145 platform, the XR variant delivers the extended range, improved performance, and operational flexibility airlines need to navigate today’s highly competitive markets. By offering a blend of comfort, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, the ERJ-145XR has solidified its role as a workhorse of regional aviation—an enduring testament to Embraer’s dedication to innovation and market responsiveness.
