My scanner has a hard time scanning the reverse side of real photo postcards on occasion and makes them look like a xerox copy, it's just the scanner, not a real representation of the reverse side.

Check the scans carefully for condition. Cards marked with the "Southst9" watermark is only on the scan, not on the postcard.
