This is an art glass paperweight signed OBG.  It is just under 3" in diameter, 2" high and it weights almost a pound!  The green and purple colors are iridescent and the purple wanders or disappears depending on the point of view and lighting.  I had to take some photos without a flash because the purple disappeared!  Another recent listing with the same purple and green by the same artist, says that this is "Lava Lace from Mt St Helens ash" from a past eruption.  I live within driving distance of Mt St Helens so perhaps the artist is a Californian.  This has only ever been used as decoration, so it is still in its original, new, condition.
