You can buy a used N64 on ebay which will likley have dirty console cartridge slot and you may need to wiggle games about to get them to work and it will probably come with dirty dusty games. The controller could have loose joystick from wear and tear as the gears and bowls will be worn down. Power supply will have old capacitors that could leak and might not last much longer.

Or you can buy one from me this has been  stripped down and had the cartridge slot cleaned and switches  with electrical cleaner. Had a new jumper pak installed.

All game contacts have been cleaned and the games work great first time. Controller are tested and the joysticks are not too loose. The power supply is brand new. So these will be great for lots of playing to come

If you use this one cartridge you won't be bending the pins back  putting different games in and out or getting old games dirt on the console pins. Plus you will save a fortune on buying  games. Or if you collect original games you can keep them safe from over use wear and tare by playing all your games from the flash cart. And just get the collection out for special occasions. Also great to try new RARE OR EXPENSIVE games you might buy in future to see if you want them
