Hi! You're looking at an excellent condition book which is RARE hard to find and OUT OF PRINT and a classic novel of alcoholism and its effects written by NATALIE ANDERSON SCOTT--the book is a HARDCOVER copy with the ORIGINAL DUSTJACKET.  This book is in excellent overall condition and is a former library copy with typical markings and a mylar plastic sleeve on the dustjacket, which is NOT attached to the boards with very light tape residue on the upper and lower center edges of the dustjacket; the book itself has very light dings on the spine and opening tips, some very light scuffs on the upper and lower page edges, transparent tape on the binding of p. 282-3 and just light shelfwear and light evidence of gentle browsing but no other significant imperfections; the dustjacket has small torn out spots on the lower center of the front surface and upper spine tip, a few tiny tears and slight creases on the upper and lower edges and just light shelfwear otherwise but no other significant imperfections!   The book is titled The Story of Mrs. Murphy and it was written by NATALIE ANDERSON SCOTT; it was published by E. P. Dutton and Company in 1947.

"Booze, is your wife, Booze, that's who you're married to"" -- this speech on the part of Jimmy Murphy's mother, who adores him, forgives him, gives him money when he asks for it, sets the background for the title of the book.

A fantastic find, and a beautiful copy of this book!
