For sale we are delighted to present this fine quality pair of 19th century Antique Gouache watercolour paintings of schooner - tea clippers on the coastline ocean at full sail. One sporting British union flag.

This pair where purchased by a merchant naval officer for his office & upon retirement & emigration we purchased several items that he sold to downsize his collection for transport before he emigrated.

He had had the pair re framed in high quality mounts & frames at a cost of around £800, I have held them in my private collection among other items now listed for several years, upon your purchase we'd recommend an individual insurance replacement value of £3,000 to £4,000 although irreplaceable.

Condition Very good for age the art works have retained full colour, no rips tears, no damages or spotting, The frames have minor marks, please see photos & ask any questions if required.
