Here we have a stunning deep purple and black antique skirt from the turn of the century. This skirt features a beautiful abstract swirling pattern in the weave. The interior is lined with a waxed linen material and everything is in good condition. Majority of the material has no holes the area with the most wear is the 10 inch wide solid wool ruffle trim, this could be removed if you wish. The center back closure has a hook and eye at the waist and additional eyes to attach to a bodice. We have not cleaned this piece so it does have a slight antique odor. Purple is a very rare color from this time frame and is normally associated with a suffragette movement. Please view all photos prior to purchasing this item is sold as is and priced accordingly.
