Taken from a particularly dirty batch of coins that would have required years in olive oil to reveal any details (if any ever appeared as the coins were so encrusted), this coin has been thoroughly cleaned to reveal the sharp, often only lightly worn details that would otherwise never have been seen. Cleaned coins are not for everyone but for a coin that was almost blank with encrustation this one came out well and rather than going in the grot pot has been given a new lease of life.
