A prettily boxed vintage generic sewing machine gathering foot.  The back part of the foot is slightly raised (the bit behind the hole where the needle goes through).  This enables the gathers to form.  This style of foot is suitable for making gathers in softer rather than heavy thick fabrics.  A pretty trifle to add to your presser foot collection.

Condition: in good vintage condition with signs of marks and use.  The boxes tend to be a bit on the tatty side.
