We are pleased to offer our Sky's the Limit 1.25" 2 element 2x Achromatic Barlow Lens with T2 thread

Suitable for all telescopes that use 1.25" diameter eyepieces.

It is fully multi coated and uses a 2 element in one group achromatic lens system.  Internally blackened to help reduce reflections.  This Barlow has a compression ring fitting to grip your eyepiece safely, evenly and securely and it also comes with a rubber grip ring.

This is an excellent Barlow that will work in all types of telescopes, including refractors, reflectors, SCTs and Maksutov Cassegrains.

This one comes with a built in 42mm T thread so that you can not only use it with your regular eyepieces but you can also attach a DLSR/SLR camera using an appropriate T ring (not supplied) if you fancy a go at astro photography so that you can attempt to capture objects not normally visible to the naked eye.

It is not threaded for filters - you will have to attach any to the eyepiece being used with the Barlow lens.

One of the most useful and cost effective tools in an amateur astronomers accessory case is a good quality barlow lens.  This Barlow is a doublet lens system that, when placed between a telescope's objective lens or mirror and the eyepiece, increases the instrument's effective focal length and boosts the magnifying power of any eyepiece by 2x.  This means that your 15mm eyepiece becomes a 7.5mm eyepiece when used with a 2x Barlow lens. This doubles the number of eyepieces in your collection.  Barlows have other advantages too.  They allow greater, more comfortable eye relief at high magnifications than the equivalent shorter focal length eyepieces allow.  This is of great benefit to spectacle wearers.  In addition, Barlows can increase the contrast of extended deep-sky objects by dimming background sky glow.
