This kit will fit 1973 to 1988 full float rear axle and change it to disc brakes. In 1989 GM started using the newer style axle, but kept the older style up to 1999. If your truck is 1989 to 1999 you need to make sure the drum is behind the hub for this kit to work. The newer style has the drum on the outside and you do not have to remove the hub to get the drum off. This kit will not fit the newer style. It will work with any Chevy or GM full float single rear wheel axle. This kit does not have a provision for emergency brake.
