PVA Hat Stiffener — 2 oz (Water-Based, Clear)

One 2 oz bottle of our high-grade PVA hat stiffener, blended in our Panama hat shop. Designed for Panama (Paja Toquilla) and other straw hats. Dries clear and keeps the natural look and feel of the straw when used as directed.

• Water-based PVA polymer blend — re-block safe and water-soluble
• Helps lock down loose fibers and shape a crisp brim/crown
• Dries clear — formulated to resist yellowing or flaking
• Typically enough for multiple touch-ups or 5–8 full brim treatments (varies by hat & application)

How to Use

1. Start with a clean, dry hat. Lightly steam if you plan to re-shape.
2. Apply a light, even coat to the area (outside brim/crown) using a soft brush or sprayer.
3. Shape as desired; allow to dry thoroughly. Repeat with thin coats to increase stiffness.
4. To reduce or remove later, soften with warm water and mild soap, then re-shape.

Why This Formula

Our shop blend helps maintain the breathable nature of straw. Unlike some felt-hat stiffeners that can overly seal the fibers, this PVA blend is designed for Panama straw so the hat stays flexible and serviceable for future cleaning or re-blocking.

Notes: Test on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid oversaturation. Color/feel may vary slightly by straw type and application method. Store capped at room temperature.
