I have retro brighted hundreds of consoles I use the vapour technique which I find never causes streaking or un even finishes .

These lamps work very well as these are the 150 higher power ones this seems to provide enough heat and light to create a vapour inside the tub.

Which creates the perfect storm

Some items may be so badly yellow they never get fully back to original but they usually get very close and look a lot better. Some items taken longer than other too  , so just keep checking, also note some items will go too light if left longer than needed. These are mistakes from the user so keep checking the colour preferred without opening the tub if possible to keep the vapour
