About Us

Big Sounds Low Skirts is a bricks and mortar car performance & modification shop with its own on-site fitting bay and technician located in Essex in the South East of the UK. This makes us best placed to help with any aftermarket mods or upgrades you may be looking for. Whether it be a dump valve or upgrading the entire audio system in your car we've got you covered.

We've almost finished our new showroom so if you're local or passing feel free to pop in and have a look/chat as we'd love to see you.

We also host occasional breakfast meets here where like minded enthusiasts can come and grab a bacon sandwich or a coffee while admiring each others cars. Typically once a year we'll hold an open day where the manufacturers such as Vibe, Audison, Edge, Hertz, Pionner, Kenwood & Alpine to name but a few come down with their show cars and latest products, this is always a fab day so feel free to look out for the dates on our facebook page, just search Big Sounds Low Skirts.

With over 15 years trading from this location we have become the biggest Performance and car audio shop in Essex. We are not a bedroom seller looking to make a quick buck, we are a devoted team of enthusiasts with a real passion for this industry and get just as excited as you when a new product comes to the market.

We supply car audio, car performance and tuning parts, plus more from a multitude of manufacturers with new items being added daily.

We are an authorised UK dealer / re-seller of every brand we sell and stock.

Delivery

We take great care packaging every item to ensure safe shipment to you.

All of our items for mainland UK addresses are either sent using Royal Mail, DPD or DHL.  If the item is coming direct from a supplier then the courier or delivery method may vary.

Please note - For items where the address is not classed as "mainland" for courier delivery (such as BT, IV, HS, high AB numbers, Channel Islands etc) then we reserve the right to charge extra carriage costs due to the increased cost to ourselves.

Returns

Genuinely faulty goods will be replaced or money refunded, however we must be advised of any faulty goods upon receipt of the item.

It is the customers responsibility to pay for and ship the item back to us if they are simply no longer required or ordered incorrectly. We give a 1 year warranty on all goods unless otherwise stated - such as ex-demo item which may only have 3 or 6 month warranties.

Please note that whilst a lot of our items have 'free' postage, this does not mean that it doesn't cost us money to send the items to you. Therefore we reserve the right that if you have ordered the item incorrectly or no longer want the item we will at our discretion minus the following amounts (based on normal mainland UK addresses, non mainland and non UK maybe more) : Items sent by Post - Â£3.95 Items sent by Recorded Post - Â£4.95 Items sent by courier 1kg to 10kg - Â£9.95 Items sent by courier OVER 10kg - Â£11.95

Item MUST be returned exactly as they were sent to you, we cannot accept items back if you have fitted or attempted to fit the item, this is especially the case for wheel spacers, suspension, car lighting, speakers and subwoofers, as they can no longer be resold as new to another buyer.

We do not offer a try before you buy service on items, therefore it is the buyers responsibility to ensure the item is fit for purpose before attempting to use / fit the item.
