A wonderful original pitch pine school masters desk.

Manufactured around 1890 it has survived in totally original condition without any refinishing.

It has lots of original ink stains too.

Complete with brass locks (no key) and  iron pen hooks.

No evidence of woodworm to the beautiful dark ruby pitch pine.

It has never been painted, sanded, stripped. It's really beautiful.

I love this tall elegant piece and will be very sad to see it go.

Due to relocation it is up for sale. 

It's a large impressive piece with lots of patina as you can see from the images.

it measures:

The total height including upstand is 47 inches 114cm

Width across the front 30 inches 76cm

Knee hole height is 30 1/2 inches 78cm

Depth front to back 26 1/2 inches 67cm. 

Depth of the flat shelf area is 5 1/2 inches  14cm

It is available for inspection or collection from Derby in the Midlands.
