1998 Action Racing Collectables 1/24 scale diecast metal collectable of  #22 Overseas Motors sponsored 1949 Oldsmobile 88 raced by Red Byron. Red raced this 1949 Olds in the 1949 NASCAR Strictly Stock Series and won the series championship. This car was produced by Action Racing Collectibles in 1998 for a NAPA Auto Parts promotion where NAPA would sell through their stores a special set of iconic cars from each of the 6 decades of NASCAR racing. This offering of cars by NAPA was to celebrate the 50th anniversary of NASCAR racing in 1998.  This is the first of the series and is the 1940's decade Oldsmobile raced by Red Byron in 1949. It was produced in 1998 by Action Racing Collectables and comes in special NAPA packaging. It features an opening hood and trunk with a detailed engine and interior and a beautiful finish. The car you are bidding on is in mint new unopened condition. It has never been opened and is still originally wired to its inside package carrier and the hood is still held closed by the original plastic straps. The last piture shows the original, still sealed, originally double taped ends of the box. A rare, original, straped, sealed, collectable.
