The bisque on this sweet boy is free of cracks, chips or repairs. It is difficult to see the mold number in back of the shoulder plate, though, my guess is 18716?. Incised Made in Germany  Gesch 18716 Gesch " Painted intaglio blue eyes, open smiling/laughing mouth with 2 lower teeth and adorable protruding ears. The cloth body is a bit rough, as pictured, and is stamped in front "hair stuffed". Both hands are crude while the right hand has all chipped ends of fingers and the left hand is missing all the fingers. Very nice wool 3 piece sailor outfit with 2 small holes in back of left pant leg. Item # 6S-53
