Susan Holder of Jackson, Mississippi, the Maid of Cotton, waves from the front of the float entered by the City of Memphis, Tennessee in today's Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. The majestic river boat is flowered with thousands of red-white and yellow chrysanthemums with white stock blossoms and Hawaiian black croton leaves. Photo measures 10.5 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 01-01-1969.
