Hi,
Why buy from me? Not only do I offer you a nice collectable that I researched for you, I kind of know what I am talking about!
My Ref-A-a
Items
I obtained these two photographs out of a collection from one family. These photos were taken from 1925-1935. These are two of the earlier ones and were not related in subject to the others.
Both are about 3 1/2" x 5 1/2". The first one is the portrait orientated one which is of two men on a set of railroad tracks someplace in Oregon. I was looking at the man sitting on the railroad tracks and wondering what he was doing. I placed the photo in a digital microscope and saw that he has a rifle in his hands! I can't see what he is aiming at as it is off the photograph. There is another man standing behind him in all white. I'll get back to that. Now onto the second photo. This one is of four painters painting the side of a building white. You can see the fresh white paint on the top of the wall and paint brushes in two of their hands. Now, I also want to mention that both of these photos came from the same roll of film as both have the exact same partial numbers on the back of each. That is how photo labs back then identified photos that belonged together. Ok, back to the railroad tracks! There are three men there. Two on the tracks and one on the camera. The man standing is in all white and looks like one of the painters. I believe they were painting, heard some gun shots and went to explore. They found the guy with the rifle taking pot shots and decided to photograph him and one of the painters watching. Make sense? It does to me and what I definitely know is that all of these photos came from one family out of Medford Oregon.
I will have one more very large lot of photos from this family as they took a trip from Oregon to California with some pitstops along the way in 1950.
Shipping- eBay is offering a shipping discount and I am passing the savings along to you.
I will ship both of these photos in their own archival soft photo sleeve in a rigid photo mailer using USPS Ground Advantage with tracking (treated like a package and will not be sent through a sorter)for $4.99 (regularly $5.99).
I take my shipping seriously. If you have ever purchased from me in the past, you will know that. Paper goods and photos are sent completely surrounded by acid free archival quality papers and/or acid free PVC free Polypropylene bags and covers. This cost me money that is well spent. I also use a variety of recycled and new packaging including boxes and mailers but your item will arrive well protected regardless. I try not to profit on my shipping. Please do not misinterpret my shipping charges. I take my time when packing anything anyone buys. I don't rush it, but at the same time, I don't overdue it. I hand select packaging materials that will not only protect the items value but will protect it during shipping. By placing a bid or buying it outright, you agree to any method I use to pack your item, new or used shipping material as I see fit.
What is the best thing about my packaging? They are easy to open! How many times have you received a package only to spend ten minutes trying to open it without destroying the contents!!! No extra tape, glue, staples, or my worst fear, items shoved between two pieces of cardboard with tape on every edge requiring a surgeon's scalpel to open it!!!
This is a newer store for me but I have been on eBay going on over 28 years with 100% feedback.
I will be adding many more Zeppelin, Airship and Aviation related photos, postcards and a variety of relics over the next few days, weeks and months. Check back with me every week to see what I have added.
Please contact me first with any issues.
Thanks for looking!!!
