I believe this title may have succeeded the older "Bonsai Magazine" which had been printed from the 1940s-1960s. List price was 300 yen per issue. This magazine, though it still has a strong focus on Bonsai, covers other natural aspects of Japan like flowers, trees, gardens, and outdoor architecture. Where the previous magazine focused solely on Bonsai, this magazine, though it still has a strong focus on Bonsai, covers other natural aspects of Japan including flowers, trees, gardens, and outdoor architecture. In its own words: A monthly magazine that enriches your mind and life with greenery. A practical magazine that helps nature and creates nature. A hobby magazine for families to enjoy the beautiful four seasons. Monthly magazine for flowers, gardens, and housing". Each issue is composed of Feature articles and monthly serialized articles by staff writers. Submissions were also welcomed from the public. For example, Issue #5 contains features of The Wildflowers of Musashino, Pomegranate, and Bonsai wood-cutting tools, as well as serializations: "My Plant Diary"/Tsutomu Minakami, "Flower-seeing heart"/Keitaro Asai, "History of Bonsai"/Kobayashi Zeku & "Love nature"/Godo Nakanishi.

These magazines were owned by a Japanese gardener in Los Angeles who specialized in Bonsai. His name, Sam Tombara, appears in ink on the back of most of the issues in this lot. No other marks and the magazines themselves are in excellent condition with tight bindings, clean interiors, and nice covers. No stains or odors. Here are the issues in this lot:

Among these trees and in the fields, you can see wildflowers unique to Musashino. Momiji Haguma leaves look like larger Japanese maple leaves, and the flowers are white with a tinge of red in summer. Often found in semi-shaded areas. It is also called Kumagaisou (Kumagaisou). It produces two large fan-shaped leaves, and the flowers are large and pale reddish-purple in color around April and May, and are often seen at the edges of bamboo forests.
