William Fulbright, Democrat - Arkansas, of the Senate Banking Committee, is shown as he held a press conference after his committee authorized today a comprehensive study of the 1954 stock market boom and set February 21 as the tentative opening date for the public hearings. He said that the stock inquiry will be the first in more than 29 years and announced that the group will avoid "to the maximum extent possible" any actions that might affect the market.
