This is an original press photo. French Union troops at Dien Bien Phu (1) braced today for an expected attack by Communist-led Vietminh forces. Other rebel forces clashed with the French yesterday at Muong Khoua (2) and on the Plaine Des Jarres (3). Dien Bien Phy is the last big French stronghold in the pro-French Thai people's country of northern Vietnam Photo measures 6.5 x 8.75 inches. Photo is dated 01-02-1953.
