Description
USDR B210 50MHz-6GHz Integrated Software Defined Radio Platform USB3.0 Support for Opensource UHD Software
Description:
- USRP B210 is a fully integrated single board software defined radio platform with frequency coverage ranging from 50MHz to 6GHz. Designed for low-cost experiments, it combines a fully integrated direct frequency conversion transceiver, providing real-time bandwidth of up to 56MHz, an open and reprogrammable Spartan6 FPGA, and a fast and convenient bus powered ultra fast USB 3.0 connection. Comprehensive support for UHD (USRP Hardware Driver) software allows you to immediately start developing using for GNURadio, creating your own GSM/LTE base station prototype using for OpenBTS and OpenAirInterface, and seamlessly transitioning code from B210 to a higher performance USRP platform. The use of B210 can achieve a wide range of applications, including broadcasting, mobile phones, GPS, WiFi, ISM FM, TV signals, and so on. Users can quickly develop some radios using GnuRadio or participate in open-source software radio projects. Based on UHD support, by updating the USRP system, users are allowed to reuse existing designs, such as some open-source frameworks, for HDSDR, and Openbts. Here are some applications that can be implemented using B210.
- The integrated RF front-end on USRP B210 adopts AD9361 for Analog Devices. The AD9361 integrates a direct frequency conversion transceiver and a digital baseband processor, capable of transmitting real-time RF bandwidth up to 56MHz. B210 utilizes the signal chain of AD9361, allowing it to be powered by the bus and reducing the complexity of software and hardware design. The onboard signal processing and control of AD9361 is performed by the Spartan6 XC6SLX75 FPGA. The FPGA uses ultra fast USB 3.0 to connect to the host PC. The benchmark for USRP B210 real-time system throughput is 61.44M sampling points per second, providing the host with an instantaneous RF bandwidth of 56MHz for signal processing using for GNU Radio SDR development environment.
Features:
- Open-source universal SDR development platform supports for GNU Radio, MATLAB, SDR#, and UHD (USRP Hardware Driver).
- Its chip, FPGA firmware, software, and performance are exactly the same as those of the original B210. Its frequency offset of 1PPM is more accurate than the 2PPM of the original board, and the bit error rate is lower.
- Compared with the original B210, its structural layout is more reasonable and compact; Compared with the B200 mini, it has better RF electromagnetic compatibility. After a long period of testing, its stability is even better.
- A scaled-down version of the original B200. Its performance indicators are consistent with those of the imported version, and the stability is better
- All use industrial-grade chips and support a temperature range of -40 to 85°C
- Highly integrated: RF range from 50MHz to 6GHz
- Support a maximum real-time bandwidth of 56MHz and a reference sampling rate of 61.44MS/s
- Support high-speed USB 3.0 connection, for Windows, Linux use
- Open source UHD supports multiple frameworks and supports a variety of open source programs
