This Washer Boot Gasket is an OEM replacement part for front-loading Bosch washing machines. It creates a secure seal between the outer tub of your washing machine and its drum. The gasket prevents the washer from leaking during operation. Over time and with normal use, the gasket may deteriorate and tear or stretch. This can also happen if the machine is overloaded. The weight of the load presses against the door and, in turn, against the gasket. This can cause the gasket to stretch or leave marks on the laundry. If the door is left closed after use, the gasket may become moldy, and an odor will come from the washing machine. If any of these occur, the boot gasket should be replaced.
