Item Title

Kagami-jishi (mirror lion), Tachigata Oshie Hagoita

Description

This is an original masterpiece reproducing a powerful scene from a representative New Year Kabuki dance performance "Shun-oki Kagami-jishi" on an oshie hagoita with a standing posture. The oshie parts of the body are made extremely thick compared to normal oshie, so you will feel the unparalleled power of the oshie doll itself.

OSHIEYASAN does not use fur fabric for the hair. Instead, we take a bundle of thread called "Suga" as shown in the photo, comb it, put glue with a spatula stick on the cut ends, and plant it on each oshie part of the head, sticking to the traditional method that requires skill and time (in case of a lion, it is planted in several layers to make it thicker). (In the case of the lion, the glue is planted in several layers and cut with scissors to make it look natural.)
(In the case of lions, we plant several layers and cut them with scissors to make them look thicker and more natural.

The face and hands are finished in the traditional method of hand-painting by applying a base coat of shell white powder to the fabric.

The pattern of the part using Kinran fabric may differ from the picture shown on the website due to the process.
