Large Group Lot of Antique Photographs. All from the extended family of Ralph Benton Emery, his wife Edith Ada Stubbs, and children Ralph Benton Emery, Jr., John T. Emery, and Faith Elizabeth Emery. The family was primarily associated with York County and Southern Maine, and Massachusetts. Over 160 photos, measuring various sizes. Includes some duplicates and near duplicates. The majority are identified, but not all have handwritten identification. All are guaranteed to come from an auction lot associated with the family estate, and are mostly easy to verify from those that are identified. Condition: These are original photographs, not a copy or reproduction. They are in overall very good to excellent condition. Comments: Ralph Benton Emery (1891-1943) was the son of Frank Miller Emery (1870-1904) and Alice Azuba Spinney (1872-1899). Ralph was married to Edith Abba Stubbs (1891-1965) on June 23, 1921 in Somerville, Massachusetts. Edith was the daughter of Thomas Valentine Stubbs (1837-1913) and Ada Anna Howe (1856-1943). The children of Ralph and Edith included Ralph Benton Emery, Jr. (1922-2002), Faith Elizabeth Emery (1923-2003), and John T. Emery (born 1925.) A cabinet photo of John Emery in military uniform, shown in our next to last image, is also included with this group. A photocopy of our genealogy report will also be included with the purchase of this group lot.
