A huge upgrade to the G3s is the addition of the CREE XP-L chips. These new chips provide up to 50% more light output than previous models along with a wider viewing angle. The improved viewing angle effectively fills the light housings creating a sharp beam pattern with amplified coverage and distance with no dead spots.
