We are delighted to offer for sale this 2 inch infra red blocking filter.
Some people believe that this is the essential piece of equipment for astro
imaging with CCDs, CMOS, webcams or digital cameras.
With our eyes we only see the visible spectrum of light. However, your
imager can also see infra red. This can lead to images that are blurred
by infra red unless you use a suitable means of stopping the infra red from
reaching your imager.
The filter cuts out the IR (and uv) wavebands but allows visible red to pass
resulting in sharper images.
At Sky's the Limit we measure the performance of our filters so that you can
see what you are getting. No 'between this and that' specifications -
what you see it what you get. Here is the transmission graph for this
