1987 Commemorative 1 Rouble Coin from USSR (Russia) - 175th anniversary of Borodino Battle

  • Obverse: USSR National Coat of Arms, the famous 'hammer and sickle', with CCCP (USSR) and '1 Rouble' underneath.
  • Reverse: Borodino Battle was the last offensive battle for Napoleon's invasion of Russia in 1812. Even though the French won the battle, they lost the war. This coin depicts the monument dedicated to Mikhail Kutuzov, Russian general in charge of the Russian army.
  • Edge: 1 Rouble

  • Condition: These coins have never been in circulation. They have been shipped to me in mint bags. Full brilliant luster, exquisite detail. They can be easily graded 'Brilliant Uncirculated'.
