Each design is individually embroidered and photographed on at least one hat color. The first image in the listing shows the color I think looks best for this design, but you can choose from other available colors.

Regardless of the hat color you select, the embroidery design will remain the same, using identical thread colors to the sample shown.

No Illustrations – Real Hats, Real Embroidery

Unlike some eBay sellers who use virtual renderings or digital mockups, I only show real photos of actual embroidered hats. What you see is what you get—no Photoshop tricks, no surprises.

Hat Sizing – One Size Fits Most

Most of the hats I sell are classified as "one size fits most", with a manufacturer-rated size of 58cm (22.8 inches)—roughly equivalent to a 7.5 fitted hat (XL in most size charts).

For reference:

• The most common men’s hat size is 7-⅜
• The average women’s hat size is 7-¼

Most hats feature a hook and loop (Velcro®-style) or buckle closure, allowing for easy adjustments. If you’re unsure about sizing, no worries—you can return any hat for any reason (even if your kid ordered it with your phone). Just use the eBay returns process for a hassle-free experience.

Hat Styles – No Marketing Gimmicks, Just the Facts

I keep things straightforward—most of my hats are unstructured, low-profile "dad hats" with a relaxed fit. The exception? A few structured hats, which are clearly noted in the product description when applicable.

Hat Terminology – For the Detail-Obsessed

✔ Profile: Hats come in low, mid, or high profile, referring to the height of the front panel. The difference is only ¼ inch between each category. High-profile hats are typically structured.

✔ Structured vs. Unstructured:

• Structured hats have reinforced front panels with buckram, giving them a stiff, rigid shape (think cowboy hat stiffness).
• Unstructured hats are softer and more flexible, making them more comfortable and casual.

✔ Closure Types:
Most hats I sell use a hook and loop closure (Velcro®-style) unless otherwise noted. This allows for infinite adjustability.

✔ Other Terms to Know:

• Distressed: A marketing term for a hat that has been deliberately torn up (usually with a bench grinder).
• Stonewashed / Pigment Dyed: A fabric treatment that gives hats a softened, faded color (similar to light-washed denim).
• FlexFit® / OttoFlex®: A trademarked elastic band system that replaces traditional closures. I don’t carry these because hook and loop closures offer a better fit and are less likely to fly off your head in the wind.

Default Shipping Method

By default, your item will ship via USPS Ground Advantage (formerly First Class Parcel) with tracking and insurance in a sturdy cardboard box.

• 1 or 2 hats ship in a 6x6x4 inch box.
• 3 or 4 hats ship in an 8x6x4 inch box.
• Larger orders ship in an appropriately sized box.

You can now choose UPS Ground Advantage for a small uncharge.  Sorry, at this time FedEx does not offer a reasonable pickup option for my small business so I do not ship with FedEx.

Tracking & Carrier Pickup

Our mail is picked up at the end of the business day, and sometimes tracking does not update in the USPS system until the next business day.

📌 Tracking Statuses:
✔ "Received" = Package was picked up by the mail carrier.
✔ "Acceptance" = Package has reached the North Houston USPS sorting facility.

🚚 Package Security & Delivery Tips

Avoiding Package Theft & Secure Delivery

If your mailbox is too small for packages, or if you live in an area where porch theft is a concern, consider asking your local post office to "Hold for Pickup."

🔹 USPS can hold your package upon request to prevent theft.
🔹 Your mail carrier may also choose to hold the package at the post office if:

• You have large dogs in the yard.
• You live on a busy street with high traffic.
• They determine the package would not be secure if left unattended.

📬 USPS Shipping Issues & Delays

When Packages Travel "Incognito" (No Scans) or Get Mis-Sorted

USPS is highly reliable, but sometimes packages experience delays or tracking issues.

📌 Possible Reasons:

• No Scan Updates → Some packages leave Houston without being scanned, and tracking may not update until it reaches your local USPS facility.
• Mis-Sorted Packages → Occasionally, a package is sent to the wrong part of the country before being rerouted to the correct destination.

🚀 How Rare Are Lost Packages?
Out of 3,000+ packages shipped yearly, only 3 to 5 end up completely lost, and about 10 to 12 have a temporary routing or scan issue.

If your package seems delayed, please reach out. I can:
✔ Open a case with USPS to investigate.
✔ Issue a refund and file a claim if the package is officially lost.
✔ Help track your package if it’s just experiencing a routing delay.

📍 When Tracking Says "Delivered" But You Don't Have It

📌 Sometimes USPS marks packages as "delivered" before they actually arrive.

This usually happens when:

• Your mail typically arrives later in the day (but tracking says it was delivered early).
• The carrier marks it delivered but forgets to drop it off.

What to Do:

✔ Wait until your normal delivery time.
✔ Check with your local post office before contacting me.
✔ If they confirm it was marked delivered incorrectly, let me know—I will open a trace request to have them physically locate the package.

Most "missing" packages turn up within 24–48 hours, often at the post office under a "Hold for Pickup" status, even if you didn’t request it.

Delivery times vary by location and shipping method.

• USPS Ground Advantage: Typically 4 to 6 days, but can be as fast as 3 days or as long as 7–10 days.
• UPS Saver or UPS Ground: If used, delivery times will vary based on location.
