Order of the Holy Spirit
The highest order of the French kingdom during the period of the Old Order. Established on December 31, 1578 by King Henry III.
It was abolished in 1830 by King Louis Philippe I. The order proclaimed its goal to protect the Catholic faith and the person of the king.
