This listing is for a wonderful late 19th Century bronze bust sculpture of the Trojan hero AJAX. The sculpture features a bust of the Greek Trojan hero Ajax wearing a helmet decorated with eagles, a Centaur and panthers in relief. Although the sculpture is unsigned, the figure has very fine details in his facial features and helmet with nice antique patina. The sculpture is bolted onto a bronze raised plinth base. This bronze has a nice size and makes a great desk or bookshelf accessory.

Measures 10 1/4" high (including base), 5 1/4" wide and 4" deep with the base measuring 3" square. Weighs 6.6 pounds.

This nice sculpture is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only minor signs of normal wear.
