This is a vintage of wire fencing.   This sample features an unknown patentee and maker.   This features a light gauge single round barbless line wire.  This wire has a factory splice made by laying both ends together with one end having longer overlap.  This overlap is then bent back upon itself and wrapped around both ends in an open spiral.  Splice is then pressed and rolled to make the splice.  Sample is 18" in length.  Wire sample shows minor pitting. This  is a barbless wire.  Sample is in excellent used condition.
