Brown plastic Wookie mini of unknown origin….no manufacturer markings…

…it was covered in thick handpainted brown acrylic (& I thought it was a gorilla) but stripping the paint revealed the details and a wookie emerged instead…quite a crude moulding, not sure if its official star wars or just a old / early piece - could be part of a playset, don’t know..?!?
