This set includes detailed Continental 760x100 wheels in 1/32 scale, designed as a practical upgrade for selected Wingnut Wings German WWI aircraft kits.
Wingnut Wings supplied aircraft-specific outer wheel covers with its kits. Rather than replacing these details with a universal part, the Proper Plane wheels are designed to use the original outer wheel covers from the model kit.
The tire and inner wheel cover are supplied as separate parts, making painting considerably easier and allowing a clean, precise separation between the tire and wheel cover.
Designed primarily for Wingnut Wings Albatros D.V/D.Va and Fokker D.VII kits.
The 760x100 wheel size was also used on a number of other German WWI aircraft. Compatibility with other kits may vary, so we recommend checking references and test-fitting the parts before final assembly.
Parts are supplied unpainted. We recommend test-fitting the original kit outer wheel covers before painting. The tire and inner wheel cover can be painted separately and assembled afterwards, making it much easier to achieve a clean boundary between the two colours.
Use standard modelling paints and adhesives suitable for resin parts.
