The blanket is fairly easy to make yet everyone will be impressed. 

Without too much fuss or fancy stitches. Suitable for an intermediate beginner. 

Blanket can be made with or without contrast border for the beginner, as finished edge is very tidy. 

The flower, car and star are appliques so they are easily attached. 

Blanket, hat can be easily adapted to be made with a thinner yarn and smaller hook, 

just follow instructions for one size up. 

Hat is worked from the bottom up so you will be able to check your required measurement almost immediately. 

Sample Blanket and Hat were made using Medium Worsted Weight Yarn [ Aran weight for Britain / 10 ply for Australia ].

Crochet Hook 4 mm crochet hook [ 8 for Britain - G / 6 for USA ].
