Supra Flow is a light-curing, micro hybrid Flowable composite used for restoration of slightly invasive preparations, pit and fissure sealant, base/liner under the direct restorations, tunnel preparations, repairs of enamel defects, restorations of primary teeth, repair of composite, bonding of tooth fragments, class I, III and V restorations, non-carious cervical lesions. Suppra Flow can be used separately or with most of the light-cured resins.
Suppra Flow cures with light in the wavelength range of 400–500 nm (blue light) with a minimum intensity of 450 mW/cm2
.
Suppra Flow Presentation: 1 syringe containing 2 g and 5 application tips, available in the shades: A1, A2, A3, OA3.5 (Opaque), B0.5, A0.5.
Basic composition: Methacrylic monomers such as Bis (GMA) monomer, Bis (EMA) e TEGDMA, Canfor quinone, co-initiators, bondservants, pigments and 72 % of salinized inorganic load composed of microparticles of barium-aluminum silicate and nanoparticle silicone dioxide with the particles in sizes between 0.05 and 5.0 microns.
Suppra Flow indication:
- Base/liner under direct restorations;
- Small, non occlusal stress-bearing class I restorations according to minimally invasive filling therapy;
- Pit and fissure sealant;
- Tunnel preparation;
- Repair of enamel defects;
- Bonding of tooth fragments;
- Repair of composite;
- Non-carious cervical lesions;
- Planning of preparation walls.
Precautions and Contraindications; For dentistry use only.
Read carefully the recommendations and instructions for use.
Use Suppra Flow only as informed in these instructions.
- Do not use Suppra Flow in patients with a history of allergy to composite resins that are acrylate based. In case of allergy, suspend the use and
request the patient to look for medical assistance. - In order to minimize the risk of irritation, areas in close proximity to the pulp should be adequately protected (Eg.: application of calcium hydroxide).
- To avoid allergic reactions to methacrylate monomer, it is recommended to constantly wear gloves. If Suppra Flow gets in contact with the
hands, wash them thoroughly with water. - In case of eye contact, wash them thoroughly with water and contact a doctor immediately.
- When using a light-curing unit, protective eyewear should be worn.
- Suppra Flow is contraindicated when it is not possible to establish dry operative field or it is not possible to follow the described technique
correctly. - Eugenol – and hydrogen peroxide containing materials should not be used in conjunction with this product because they may interfere with
hardening and cause softening of the polymeric components of the material. - Suppra Flow should not be swallowed or inhaled. In case this occurs, search for medical help immediately.
- The enclosed intraoral tips are intended for a single use and must be disposed of after only one use. Return the cap to the syringe after use.
- Contact with saliva and blood during composite placement may cause failure of the restoration.
Use of rubber dam or adequate isolation is recommended. Side Effects
- Suppra Flow may cause some level of irritation if in contact with the dental pulp or in close proximity to it. In cavities that are too deep, use a lining material with calcium hydroxide base.
- In cases of allergic reactions to the product, suspend its use. Suppra Flow is contraindicated for patients that are allergic or hypersensitive to
methacrylate and related monomers and should not be used in those patients. - Product may irritate the eyes and skin. Eye contact: irritation and possible corneal damage.
- Skin contact: irritation or possible allergic response. Reddish rashes may be seen on the skin.
Directions for use
- Application in direct restorations:
- Shade Selection: take the shade with the teeth well hydrated.
- Cavity Preparation: the preparation of the cavity should be accomplished according to the norms of the adhesive technique, removing only the carious tissue. There is no need for additional retentions.
- Pulp protection: cover only the areas very close to the pulp (e.g. calcium hydroxide).
- Etching of enamel and/or dentin: apply phosphoric acid gel 37% on the enamel and/ or dentin for 15 seconds. Soon after, wash abundantly with water and dry with oil free air jets. Avoid the dehydration of the dentin.
- Adhesive System: apply the adhesive system Bond A Plus (Suppra) according to the manufacture ́s instructions. If using a self-etching adhesive skip step 4.
- Application of Suppra Flow: apply the material directly in the cavity with the application tip. Each applied layer should not be thicker than 2 mm. Light cure each layer for 40 seconds.
- Finishing and polishing: felt disks with the aid of polishing pastes.
- For pit and fissure sealant:
- Make the total isolation and the acid etching of the pit and fissure surface, wash and dry.
- Apply Suppra Flow with the aid of an application tip. Do not allow the product to spread to regions of occlusal contact.
- Light cure for 40 seconds. Accomplish the finishing and the polishing recommend for light- cured resins.
Conservation and storage
Keep out of direct sunlight, exposure to light leads to premature curing. Store in a well ventilated place at temperatures between 5 °C and 30 °C.
(41°F and 86°F). Allow material to reach room temperature prior to use. Protect from moisture. Do not freeze.
Do not use after expiration date.
